My Philosophy is based on the Legacy of Rev. Dr. King, a man I love and respect so much. He is my inspiration , motivation and role model. BUT it is pretinent to note that Christ is our ALL IN ALL, no one can be equated to him and NO MAN CAN I SHARE HIS GLORY WITH. Dr King only captured my passion by demonstrating and preaching the love of Christ in an inspirational and motivational way.

Martin Luther King Jr., was the conscience of his generation. A black man who was bold enough to gaze on the great wall of segregation and saw that power of love could bring it down from the pain and exhaustion of his fight to free all people from the manacles and bondage of separation and injustice, He wrung the eloquent statement of his dream, of what the world could be, He said:

"Sooner or later, all the people of the world will have to discover a way to live together in peace, and thereby transform this pending cosmic elegy into a creative psalm of brotherhood".

"We have learned to fly the air like birds and swim the sea Like fish, but we have not learned the simple art of Living together as brothers. Our abundance has brought Us neither peace of mind nor serenity".

Dr. King Stood for justice, equity, love and acceptance of each other by not just the citizens of America, but everybody living on this God given earth, all men must come together as brothers. He helped us overcome our ignorance of one another. He spoke out against a war he felt was unjust in Vietnam as he has spoken out against law that was unfair. He continued to his last days to strive for a world where the poorest and humblest amongst us could enjoy the fulfillment of the promises of God. His life informed us, his dreams sustained us.

The contribution of Martin Luther King to the black freedom movement was that of a leader who was able to turn protests into a crusade, to translate local conflict into moral issues of nationwide concern.

He was successful in awakening the black masses and galvanishing than into action. He won his greatest victories by appealing to the conscience of white American thus bringing political leverage to bears on Washington. King monumentally contributed to the moral, social, political and spiritual of the twentieth century. He saw it fundamentally noble that character should be a corporate as well as an individual virtual.

Apparently, he left a legacy that should be considered and celebrated till all mankind appear before God. Little wonder he holds a day that Americans observe religiously and people all over the world also.

His words and deeds have continued to shape the lives and destiny of millions across the globe, and have brought great hope and optimism to them.

In his words: "I refuse to accept the idea that man is a mere flotsam and jetsam in the river of life which surrounds him"
A close scrutiny of his speeches and philosophy reflects his impartiality ( 'A time to break silence'), His global commitment and unselfish motive ('A trip to the land of Ghandi'), and his prophetic status ('I see the promise land'). A million page of a book is not enough to express the beauty of his work.
